9:39 am	Various Goings On I sort of meant to post a while ago, say thanks to the people who came over for my birthday. It was a fun evening of games. Had some people over again this past weekend, played some more 'Guns n Ca$h'. WE also went to see 'Shoot 'em Up', which I highly recommend. I sort of was hesitant, because the set-up was the terrible 'save-the-kid' drudge. But it really didn't end up detracting from the movie. I even found myself enjoying the bonding moment between Clive Owen's character and the baby. The movie as a whole was pure, wall-to-wall, over-the-top action. 11:52 am	Finally! I have my computer. Things are going relatively smoothly, the only snag I've hit has been in getting a phone, for which I need picture ID, for which I'm going to have to get my passport renewed (a reminder to volunteers for references that I need to get your info, email it maybe). I hung out with Seann, Joe, Caitlin, and Colin (was it?) last night, and we had a game of Guns n Ca$h. It was good catching up with old friends, and meeting some new ones. 11:43 am	Toronto Goings On Well, I'm currently in Kitchener visiting with Dave, Shan, Dm, and Linda. But since this is my first opportunity at some decent net access, I figure I'd post about the couple days I had in Toronto. my first night at the Hotel there was a fire alarm, which they couldn't figure out how to shut off so I spent over an hour waiting on the street, where I think I may have seen Atom Egoyan walk by. A few days later I saw some chump smash his jaguar. More importantly though I paid a visit to my apartment to drop off some stuff and got to meet my roommate John briefly, and I also stopped by the school I'll be attending and met some people there briefly. I'm looking forward to starting up my studies. I also of course got to visit with friends and family, not everyone I would have liked to, but I'll be back in Toronto before long. Oh, and a note to Maclean. I found a game shop with a copy of "Guns & Ca$h" that I'll be picking up on my return, if its still there. I think I'm definitely going to enjoy living in Toronto.
